Faith. Relationship. Career

TIFF was nothing short of amazing this year. The city to city spotlight was on Lagos and a good number of our Nollywood celebrities showed up. I had the pleasure of meeting some of them and they were all super amazing in person (especially OC Ukeje:) He was so warm and welcoming, I felt like I had known him longer than 5 minutes.

Nollywood has come a long way from singing the story line in the background to well thought out story lines that cut across borders and leave you in deep thought. I had the pleasure of attending the premiere of The Wedding Party and the screening of The Arbitration. Both were amazing movies. While The Wedding Party had you laughing your heart out at Sola Sobowale's funny expressions and Ireti Doyle's excellent performance, The Arbitration left you in deep thought about topics such as rape, sexual harassment, office romance and power. These are topics that affect us globally and it was great watching the story from a Nigerian point of view. I also heard pleasant feedback from the movie premiere and screening of Okafor's law by Omoni Oboli.

On the other hand, It's been a long summer and in the spirit of  'living in the moment', I decided to pack my load and hop on a plane to the 6ix. This trip was entirely worth it; had some time to clear my head and re-live some of the things I enjoyed while living in Toronto. I even experienced some much needed growth in certain areas of my life.

Back to reality!
